Dogs come to us various ways at Farm Friends Rescue. Many are pulled from local rural shelters that regularly euthanize animals for space. We try to save as many as possible from these shelters and often work with shelter staff to get them out and into foster homes. Some of our dogs are strays from our local community. We do our best to locate the owners of our strays and if no one claims them, we vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, and put them into a foster home where they will await their forever home. Other dogs are owner surrenders to our rescue; the owners are no longer able to keep their pets for numerous reasons. We don’t ask questions or judge in these cases…we simply offer to help where we can. Helping dogs find loving forever homes is our goal. Want to help? Fosters are always the weak link in our rescue operations. If we have more fosters, we can save more dogs. Please consider fostering; you really will be saving a life.
